How the operator works

Narrative keeps a list of jobs to do: a query to run, a dataset to refresh, a model to train. Every few seconds, the operator checks that list and picks up the jobs meant for it. It runs each one right next to your data, and reports back when it’s done.

What never happens

Nothing ever connects into your cloud. Narrative never needs the keys to your database. And your data stays right where it is.

Every request becomes a job, whether it comes from the Narrative app, the API or an AI agent.
